Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable presence or absence of disconnection to be detected positively by providing a wiring for feeding an output signal and an inversion signal to a control equipment and a circuit for detecting disconnection of wiring using an exclusive OR of the output signal and the inverted signal. CONSTITUTION:Output signals A, B, and Z from an encoder 12 are inverted to A', B', and Z' by a converter 30 and both output signal and inverted signal pass through a wiring 14A and are fed to a disconnection detection circuit 32 of a control equipment 16A. The circuit 32 has exclusive OR circuits (EXOR) 34a-34c and exclusive OR of signals A and A', B and B', and Z and Z' are obtained. An output signal of the EXOR 34a-34c is input to an NAND circuit 36 and an output of the circuit 36 becomes a logic 1 if at least one disconnection is found in the wiring 14A by these logic circuits. The logic 1 output is retained by a latch circuit 38 and a detection circuit 22A detects it and outputs a stop signal to a control circuit 40, thus enabling the motor 10 to be stopped.
