Title:
DISCRIMINATING CIRCUIT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3491061
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To place a discriminating circuit in high-speed operation.
SOLUTION: This discriminating circuit is constituted by connecting resonance tunnel diodes 1 and 2 for driving and loading between a clock terminal 4 and the ground and connecting a photodiode 3 in parallel to the resonance tunnel diode 1 for driving and takes a discrimination signal out of the common connection point of both the tunnel diodes 1 and 2 and the emitter size of the resonance tunnel diode 2 for loading is made larger than that of the resonance tunnel diode 1 for driving so that the difference obtained by subtracting the peak current value of the resonance tunnel diode 1 for driving from the peak value of the resonance tunnel diode 1 for driving is larger than the difference obtained by subtracting the capacity AC current of the resonance tunnel diode 2 for loading from the sum of the capacity AC current of the tunnel diode 1 for driving and the capacity AC current of the resonance tunnel diode 2 for loading.
