Abstract:

PURPOSE: To discriminate the order of arrival at the goal and display records for racers accurately and quickly, by recording video signals from a line sensor camera to an ordinary standard VTR.

CONSTITUTION: Means 3W5 which convert video signals obtained from a line sensor camera 1 to video signals which are scanned in a high speed vertically on a screen, a device 10 which generates a time signal for every plural scanning lines due to scanning of the camera, a VTR6 where video signals and the time signal are recorded in a form of standard video signals, and a monitor 7 are provided. The video signal and the time signal of the VTR6 are reproduced as a still picture on the monitor 7, and a time signal which corresponds to the position indicated by a cursor when the cursor from a cursor generating means 11 is matched to a racer or the like on the monitor screen is read out by a reading means 13, and thus, records, the order of arrival, etc. for racers are displayed on a display device 16.
