Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for discriminating an alga containing polysaccharides and cellulose from algae existing in nature.
CONSTITUTION: A stilbene compound is brought into contact with an alga, and the alga is irradiated with light of such a wavelength as the stilbene bonded to the alga is excited and the fluorescent emission is measured to discriminate the algae containing polysaccharides and cellulose.
