This method comprises (1) a dish item food material designing method (food material design) for presenting the kind, quality, amount and cooking state of a food material, when the customer makes the meal order to the meal store or information mediation center from the information terminal, on the screen of the information terminal in a process for determining a specific dish item from a meal menu belonging to a certain specific meal category, so that the customer can select the item within the presented range, and (2) a dish item appearance design method in meal order for allowing the customer itself to create the appearance design of a specific dish item (arrangement and dishing-up of a food material) and perform the dishing-up on the screen of the information terminal in a process for determining the specific dish item from a meal menu belonging to a certain specific meal category.
