To obtain a dish washer capable of assuring sanitary conditions by repeatedly applying a cleaning liquid to garbage, stain, etc. adhering to the inside of a washing tub by increasing the number of circulations of the cleaning liquid within the washing tub in a process performing drainage and efficiently and surely catching the garbage, the stain, etc. within the washing tub by a garbage filter.

In the dish washer, a dish washer main body 1 has the washing tub 4, the garbage filter 22 placed in a way able to mount in a recessed part 6 formed in the bottom 5 of the washing tub 4, a flushing pump 7 for circulating the cleaning liquid stored in the bottom of the washing tub 4 while passing it through the garbage filter 22, a rotary nozzle 9 for injecting the cleaning liquid into the washing tub 4 by the flushing pump 7, a drain pump 11 for draining the cleaning liquid out of the dish washer main body 1, and a controller 26 for drive controlling the flushing pump 7 and the drain pump 11, and governs by the controller 26 so as to alternately operate the drain pump 11 and the flushing pump 7 in a process performing drainage of the cleaning liquid.
