To provide a dishwasher capable of adjusting the amount of steam to be discharged with an inexpensive configuration.
The dishwasher is provided with: a drying fan 7 for sending air to a washing tub 2 for storing and washing objects 10 to be washed; first and second blowing routes 14a and 14b for exhausting air inside the washing tub 2 to the outside; and a valve mechanism 17 for switching the first and second blowing routes 14a and 14b by opening/closing operations. The valve mechanism 17 is opened and closed by the wind pressure of the air. Since the valve mechanism 17 can be opened and closed by the wind pressure without using expensive electrical components such as a solenoid or a geared motor, when the air containing the steam generated for a large amount is switched so as to be allowed to flow into the side of the first blowing route 14a which suppresses the discharge of the steam by closing the valve mechanism 17 by lowering the wind pressure of the drying fan 7 from the end of a final rinsing process to the initial stage of a drying process for instance, the discharge of the steam to the outside is suppressed, damages on peripheral objects by the steam are prevented, thereby reducing an unpleasant feeling due to the high temperature and high humidity of a kitchen.
