To provide a convenient dishwasher allowing a user to easily set objects to be washed in a first dish basket located in an upper position, and also set them in a second dish basket located below the first basket.
The dishwasher has a washing tub 24 which opens upward and can be drawn out forward from a dishwasher body (not indicated). The washing tub 24 is composed of an upper washing tub 13 and a lower washing tub 14. The upper washing tub 13 and the lower washing tub 14 have first dish baskets 15a and 15b or a second dish basket 16 respectively for storing the objects 8 to be washed. The whole face of the upper washing tub 13 as seen from the above can be moved to the outside of the lower washing tub 14. By moving the whole upper washing tub 13 with the objects 8 to be washed set in the first dish baskets 15a and 15b, the space in the second dish basket 16 within the lower washing tub 14 blocked by the first dish baskets 15a and 15b can be evacuated, so that the objects 8 to be washed can be easily taken out from the second dish basket 16 or set in the dish basket from above.
