Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve cleaning efficiency and workability and to eliminate the danger of destruction due to cleaning by automatically sweeping plural places on the surface of a recording medium along the radial direction. CONSTITUTION:The disk cleaner possesses a turntable 2 which is rotated by a driver, a gear M 4 to be linked with the rotation of the turntable 2 and a crank 5 supported on its one end in a displacement position at an optional distance from the center of the gear M 4. A table 6 is freely rotably supported by the other end of the crank 5, having three pads 13 on the upper part as a medium cleaning part for cleaning the disk surface. Moreover, the cleaner possesses also a subbase 7 having a guide groove for guiding the table 6 to move in the radial direction of the recording medium 1 and belts A 9 and B 10 for transmitting rotary motion of the turntable 2 to the table 6. By this constitution, the surface of a disk placed on the turntable 2 is automatically swept and cleaned by the pads 13 under uniform contact pressure in the radial direction.
