Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suit to high density recording by enhancing format accuracy and to enable maintenance and recycling such as balance adjustment and replacement of parts by making the device overhaulable.
SOLUTION: A fixed part and a rotary part 10 of a spindle motor 5 are formed into separate bodies, and the rotary part 10 constitutes a rotary body 14 together with a disk 3. Under the state of the rotary body 14, the initial write, etc., are performed by a high precision servo write device, etc. Afterward, the rotary body 14 is assembled with the fixed part to complete the disk device 1. The rotary body 14 can be rotated by other high precision motor at the servo write time, so that vibration is reduced to enhance the format accuracy, thus suiting to the high density recording.
