To provide a disk drive device whose component precision is easy to be controlled and which can secure a disk at the center of a clamp without displacement, and also provide a disk apparatus incorporating the device and a manufacturing method of the drive device.
This disk drive device has an approximately cylindrical hub 43 rotatably supported on a shaft. The hub clamps a disk 20 concentrically around the hub and has an elastic ring spacer 80 and a clamp piece 44 formed at its end. The spacer has a piece 87 in contact with the disk and the clamp piece is shrink-fitted around the hub and retains the spacer in contact with the disk. Either the spacer or the clamp piece has a contact piece 86a in contact with the other one when fitting the clamp and the other one has a guide surface 44b to guide the spacer in the direction to position its contact center at the center of rotation.
