Abstract:
PURPOSE: To shorten access time for a disk, to improve durability of a spindle motor and to reduce power consumption.
CONSTITUTION: A pickup 18 is rotated by a spindle motor 12 and moved in the direction of a radius of a disk 14, reads recorded information of the disk 14, outputs it as a recording signal. A clock sampling section 30 samples a synchronizing signal included in the recording signal, and generates a sampling clock having the same frequency as that of the synchronizing signal. A PLL circuit 32 generates a master clock, while controls a frequency and a phase of the master clock so as to be made the same frequency and phase as that of the sampled clock. A data sampling section 40 samples data component included in the recording signal based on the master clock, and outputs it as output data. A driving control section 16 controls the spindle motor 12 with the constant number of rotations, and a CPU 42 controls movement of the pickup 18 and processes output data.
