PURPOSE: To prevent a sound brake, a sound skip due to shock with simple constitution even at the time of playing any one of an MD and a CD.
CONSTITUTION: The compressed music data (at an MD playing time) recorded on the MD or the normal music data (at a CD playing time) recorded on the CD are reproduced at high speed intermittently by a reproducing system constituted of a pickup 4, an RF amplifier 6 and a signal processing circuit 9 under the control of a system controller 20. By a memory controller 13, the regenerative data are written in a DRAM 12 at high speed intermittently and read out continuously at a normal speed, and are data expanded by an ATRAC decoder 14 at the time of the compressed music data to be outputted, and are outputted as it is at the time of the normal music data. When track jump due to shock occurs, the pickup 4 is returned to an original position automatically, and the reproducing operation is started again under the control of the system controller 20. On the other hand, by the memory controller 13, when the track jump occurs, the write operation is stopped transiently, and the intermittent write at high speed is started again interlocking with the resumption of the reproducing operation in the reproducing system.
