Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the formation of an unnecessary link sector on a disk in the disk recording/reproducing device.

CONSTITUTION: Data inputted via an interface l is supplied to a packing circuit 31 and a synchronizing signal is supplied to a synchronization detector 2. When the synchronizing signal is detected by the synchronization detector 2, the detected output is supplied to a linking sector position detecting circuit 33. In the linking sector detecting circuit 33, what data the synchronizing signal is inputted for is detected. Also, how many sectors of data on a disk format the amount of data is equivalent to is calculated and based on this calculated value, data is divided for each sector. A link sector outputted from a link sector generating circuit is added to data outputted from the packing circuit 31.
