To provide a disk reproducing device capable of performing reproduction based on the data remaining in a shockproof memory even when the door part of a disk opening part is opened during reproduction of the disk, and reducing a silent or non-video state in which information signal is not reproduced, as far as possible.
The shockproof memory 8 connected to a signal processing circuit 2 intermittently stores a signal read from a disk where an information signal has been recorded by an optical pickup 3 at a speed higher than a normal reproducing rate, and is also a memory for obtaining a final disk reproducing signal. A reproduction mode switch 15 connected to a main microcomputer 1 is for making it possible to optionally choose (switch) the two kinds of modes, a normal reproduction mode and a continuous reproduction mode, and the normal reproduction mode is for bringing the reproducing operation into an idle running state without fetching data pre-stored in the shockproof memory 8, and the continuous reproduction mode continues the reproducing operation without erasing the data already stored in the shockproof memory 8 when the door-open detection circuit 12 detects that the door part is opened.
