Abstract:
To provide a disk roll having excellent wear resistance and seizure resistance by forming a PTA (Plasma Transferred Arc) overlaying layer containing NbC on a surface.
A ring member 30 of the disk roll is fixed to a ring fixing tool 11 of a PTA overlaying device 10. During the fixing operation, a surface of the ring member 30 except a surface subjected to the PTA overlaying is wrapped by a heat-insulating sheet 20. After the fixing, the ring fixing tool 11 is turned to perform the PTA overlaying on the surface of the ring member 30. The temperature of the ring member is maintained at 250-350°C by burners 16A to 16E. After the PTA overlaying, the ring member 30 is fitted to a shaft member by shrink fitting.
