Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the accuracy of out-of-roundness and to improve the running stability of a disk wheel by forming a rim between a disk-formed honey comb core used for a core material in place of a spoke and a tire out of a foamy plastic material. CONSTITUTION:A disk wheel 7 used for a bicycle for sport and the like is composed by furnishing a honeycomb core 1 in place of a conventional spoke, and covered with a surface plate 3 after the honeycomb core 1 and a rim 21 are adhered. In this case, a hub 8 is installed at the center of the disk wheel 7, and the ring-formed rim 21 placed between the honeycomb core 1 as a core material formed in a disk and a tire T positioned at the periphery is formed by using a foamy plastic material such as a high density foamy urethane. In such a composition, the ring-formed formation of the rim 21 is made simply and accurately, and the accuracy of out-of-roundness of the rim 21 can be im proved accordingly. Furthermore the generation of a clearance at the corner 211 owing to the roundness (R) is prevented.
