To provide a disused car dismantling system and method which facilitate the recovery of a truck, do not require an enormous facility and complicated processes, and enable large-scale processing of disused cars with an improvement in work efficiency and minimum manpower.
According to the disused car dismantling system, process facilities for respective dismantling processes from carrying in of a disused car in the beginning to the compression of a car body at last are arranged on one line. A transfer rail 111, on which the truck 110 carrying a disused car can travel along each process facility, is disposed upstream on the dismantling line. A transfer rail 123, onto which the truck 110 is returned after reaching the final process and finishing the transportation of the disused car, is disposed in a pit downstream on the dismantling line. Both rails 111, 123 constitute a truck recovery system included in the dismantling system, according to which the truck 110 is returned to the first process again.
