Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a dispersant capable of stably dispersing constituents of a thermal recording material.

CONSTITUTION: A dispersant for a thermal recording material contains alkali metal polystyrenesulfonate, alkali metal sulfate and polyvinyl alcohol so that the content of alkali metal sulfate is 0.5-5% by wt. of the sum total amt. of alkali metal polystyrenesulfonate and alkali metal sulfate.
