Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a coating compsn. containing microparticles high in light stability.
CONSTITUTION: A coating compsn. consists of (a) 30-95 vol.% disperse phase containing light-stabilized polymer microparticles containing crosslinked cores, which are obtained by polymerizing at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer compd. and/or at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of polyalcohols, polycarboxylic acids, hydroxycarboxylic acids, lactones, aminocarboxylic acids, amino alcohols and polyamines and 0.1-30 wt.% of the monomer of at least one light stabilizer having a particle size distribution of 0.01-20 μm and wherein at least a part of monomer polymn. is executed in the presence of at least one light stabilizer and (b) 70-5 vol.% liquid continuous phase having a viscosity of 0.1-30 poise at room temp. and curable in order to obtain a film forming polymer and the total vol. of (a) and (b) is 100% and the disperse phase is participated in the curing of a coating film.
