To obtain a disperse dye composition capable of dyeing in blue and purple colors, having excellent level dyeing property, built-up property, brightness and washing fastness and suitable for the dyeing of polyester fiber, etc., by including respectively specific heterocyclic compound and thiophene azo compound.
This disperse dye composition contains (A) a compound of the formula I (A1 and A2 are each H, hydroxy, a 1-4C alkoxy, a 1-4C alkoxy-(1-4 C alkoxy), a phenyl-(1-4C alkoxy), etc.) and (B) a thiophene azo compound of the formula II [X1 is H, a halogen, a (substituted)alkyl, etc.; Y1 is H, a halogen, a (substituted)aryl, etc.; Z1 is H, a halogen, cyano, etc.; R1 is H, a halogen or an alkoxy; R2 and R3 are each H, a (substituted)alkyl, etc.]. The amount of the component B is preferably 0.5-99.5 wt.% based on the total weight of the composition. The composition is preferably used for the dyeing of a hydrophobic fiber material such as polyester fiber having a fineness of ≤1 de or polyester fiber spun at a spinning speed of ≥6,000 m/min.
