Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a disperse dye especially suitable for dip dyeing or discharge printing of hydrophobic, fully or semi-synthetic organic fiber materials, by coupling a diazotized amine to a specific compound.
CONSTITUTION: This disperse dye is a disperse dye of formula I. The disperse dye of formula I is prepared by coupling a diazotized amine of formula II to a compound of formula III. In the formulae, D is a diazo component which is general to a disperse dye; K is an aromatic group of formula IV or the like; R1 is H, 1-2C alkyl or the like; R2 is H, a 1-4C alkoxy or the like; R3 is H, a 1-6C alkyl or the like; R4 is H or phenyl; R5 is a group of formula V or the like; R10 is H or a 1-4C alkyl; m and z are each 0 or 1; n is from 1 to 5; provided that when K is a group of formula IV or the like, R3 is H. The disperse dye is espceially suitable for dip dyeing or printing fiber materials comprising linear aromatic polyesters, cellulose 2 1/2 acetate or cellulose triacetate.
