Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare monoazo dyes capable of dyeing synthetic fiber materials, especially polyethylenterelephthalate fiber materials, in blue colors.
CONSTITUTION: This new disperse monoazo dye of formula I (wherein, R and R3 are each lower alkyl; R1 is R, 3-6C alkenyl; R2 is OH or 2-6C alkyl having acyloxy substituting group) is prepared by coupling reaction between a diazotized compound of 2-amino-3-acetyl-5-nitrothiophene and N-(4-acetoxybutyl)- N-ethyl-m-toluidine. The resulted monoazo dye is useful to dye synthetic fiber materials, especially polyethyleneterephthalate fiber materials, in blue colors.
