Abstract:

To provide a dispersing element excellent in dispersion stability and a silver halide photographic sensitive material excellent in color reproducibility, image preservability and processing stability and to provide an color proof image forming method.

The dispersing element contains at least one compound of formula [I] or [II] in a dispersion medium. In formula [I], R1 is a 1-6C substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl; R2 is a branched alkyl, a linear or branched alkenyl, a substituted alkyl or aryl; and X is O or S. In formula [II], R3 and R5 are each H or a substituent; R4 is -SO2R6, -COR6, -SO2N(R6)2 or -PO(OR6)3; and R6 is a substituent.
