Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dispersing and mixing device which attains high dispersing velocity and is easy to clean and has a long life of a basket.
CONSTITUTION: A dispersing and mixing device is provided with a cylindrical tank for housing slurry, a cylindrical basket 7 which is rotatably supported in the cylindrical tank and whose peripheral wall 7c is constituted of a perforated screen and in which a dispersing medium is housed, a braking member 12 arranged in the cylindrical basket 7 and held in a stationary condition by a braking means 14, and a driving means for driving and rotating the cylindrical basket. On an upper wall 7a and a lower wall 7b of the cylindrical basket 7, openings 7d for circulating slurry is formed, and by driving and rotating the cylindrical basket 7, the slurry in the cylindrical tank is passed through the basket 7 and circulated, causing suspended matter in the slurry to be separated. On the inner peripheral surface of the cylindrical basket 7, plural projections 15 for preventing the sliding of the dispersing medium in the basket 7 are formed so as to be protruded inward in the radial direction.
