Abstract:
Aqueous preparations of optical brighteners used for application to synthetic materials, preferably fibre materials, and based on known sparingly water-soluble or water-insoluble brightener substances in customary assistants such as dispersants, emulsifiers, carriers, padding aids, fungicides and oxidants, contain as assistants a graft polymer of vinyl compounds of the formula I where R<1>, R<2> and R<3> are each as defined in Claim 1, on polyvinyl alcohols.
