Abstract:
To reduce unnatural feeling in an image visually recognized through an electronic mirror.SOLUTION: A display control device connected to an imaging device mounted on a vehicle includes a detection unit that detects a predetermined part of a rearward vehicle from image data captured by the imaging device, a determining unit that determines the upper and lower end positions of a compressed area of the image data according to the position in the image data of the predetermined part, a compressing unit that compresses an area defined by the determined upper and lower end positions among the image data as a compression area to generate display image data, and a control unit that controls the display image data to be viewed through an electronic mirror arranged as a rear view mirror of the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
