PURPOSE: To restore automatically to a present screen after reproducing and displaying past screens, by storing manual information to an information storage device corresponding to a screen number, designating an optional screen number for reading out and displaying the information, and restoring the newest information by the indication of restoration.

CONSTITUTION: When a changeover switch 15 is switched to a composite circuit 12 for reproduction and display, the information of the present screen is written in (1) of file 7A, and when the information of the past screen, e.g., (4) is displayed, the information is read out by designating the screen number (4). The screen number (1) corresponding to the number of the present screen is stored as the number for the restoration. After the past screen is displayed for reproduction on a picture display 2 and the restoration is indicated, the information is read out from he file 7A by taking the screen number (1) for restoration stored in advance as the designated screen number and displaying it on the picture display device 2, allowing to restore automatically to the present screen only with the indication of restoration.
