Abstract:

PURPOSE: To operate the block transfer of VRAM in accordance with modes at a portable computer for switching an LCD mode, a simultaneous display mode and a CRT mode by a keyboard.

CONSTITUTION: When a display mode is the LCD mode of a monochromatic LCD or the CRT mode, the simultaneous display mode is selected by the hot key of the keyboard, the contents of planes 1 and 3 stored in a bank B composing the VRAM are transferred to a bank A and the bank B is used as a frame memory. When the LCD is used, SVGA is selected and the display device is automatically switched from the LCD to the CRT.
