The reserved program list is displayed on the prescribed display region of the screen of a display section 18 by being overlapped with a viewed video image viewed at present. The size of the display region is selected in advance so as to be capable of displaying a prescribed number of reserved programs. When reservation contents of respective program names "A", "B" and "C" are displayed, and when the reservation of, e.g. the program name "C" is canceled, the display region is reduced to a size required for displaying the reservation status corresponding to the remaining program names "A", "B".
