Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the display controller which has planes more than planes prescribed by an image LSI.
CONSTITUTION: The display controller is equipped with the image LSI 1 which connects with a CPU 3, main graphic memories 11-14 which are connected to the image LSI 1 through a bus 6, a bank memory 15, a graphic memory 16 for insertion, a memory selecting circuit 2 which is connected to the CPU 3 and image LSI 1 and also connected to the memories 11-16 to perform input/ output selection control, and a composing circuit which outputs the result 47 of OR among outputs 41-44 from the main graphic memories, the result 48 of AND with the inverse 45' of the output of the bank memory 15, and the result 49 of OR with the output 46 from the graphic memory 16 for insertion. When the memory selecting circuit 2 does not the graphic memory 16 for insertion, the bank memory 16 is not selected.
