Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power consumption by excluding unnecessary power consumption of a display controller concerning each of plural kinds of display modes of different operation frequencies by deciding the apply voltage value of the display controller capable of operating under the display mode which should be changed.
SOLUTION: When the display mode to change is supported, information on operation voltage presently applied to a display mode controller 13 from a power ource 12 is obtained and information on operation voltage capable of operating under the display mode to change is obtained from a table(TBL) 17 to judge whether the change of operation voltage is possible or not. Then when operation voltage is changeable, a power source control command instructing the change of operation voltage, which sets an operation voltage changing instruction value operatable under the display mode to change, is sent to the power source part 12. At the time of receiving the power source control command, the power source part 12 changes operation voltage applied to the display controller 13 to the voltage value indicated by the command.
