To provide a display device in which both arrowhead indicating traffic information of one road and arrowhead indicating traffic information of another road overlap to be displayed when two or more different roads are constructed up and down, allowing road traffic information to easily be viewable even if one arrowhead of road becomes invisible.

The device includes a display means; an acquisition means for acquiring traffic information; an image generation means for generating image of the traffic information wherein the traffic information acquired based on display map area displayed on the display means are arranged for each category so as to meet the associated road; and a control means for implementing image display process which allows map image superimposed with one image of the traffic information generated by the image generation means to be displayed, and then allows map image superimposed with image of non-superimposed traffic information, if any exists among the generated images of traffic information, to be displayed. The control means repetitively executes such an image display process to allow each image of the traffic information to repetitively be displayed on the map image sequentially, when there are plural traffic information images of the various categories generated by the image generation means for one road in the above display map area.
