To safely and clearly discriminate whose settlement information is displayed at a display part 15 of an automatic ticket examining machine 1.

A user stores a desired image (user identification image) on a noncontact IC card provided to a mobile telephone set 2. When the user passes through the automatic ticket examining machine 1, the user puts the mobile telephone set 2 close to a reader writer 13 and then the reader writer 13 reads the user identification image stored on the noncontact IC card and displays it at the display part 15 together with settlement information. The user views the user identification image added to the settlement information to clearly discriminate whose settlement information is currently displayed at the display part 15. This user identification image is a mere image that the user selects, so there is no problem even if a third person peeps it. Consequently, the safety of an automatic ticket examination system can be maintained.
