To eliminate a difference in emission luminance due to a difference in gate voltage drop immediately before light emission in pixels in a horizontal direction of a panel, which is caused by blunting of a scanning pulse.
When threshold correction in a plurality of times is carried out in a non-emission period of one light emission cycle of each pixel circuit, in threshold correction in the second time for example, the pulse width of a scanning pulse WS for conducting a sampling transistor is reduced than a pulse width in other threshold correction. This induces difference in a gate-source voltage Vgs of drive transistors in the horizontal direction of the panel when the threshold correction is finished, so as to offset the difference in the gate voltage drop immediately before light emission.
