Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress generation of a pseudo contour and correct the amount of luminescence of a luminous element for each pixel in a further suitable manner according to a deterioration amount of the luminous element.SOLUTION: A display device comprises a pixel circuit arranged in a matrix form, the pixel circuit including a luminous element emitting light with brightness corresponding to a current amount, an optical sensor for detecting brightness of light emitted from the luminous element, and a compensation control circuit for controlling a current amount supplied to the luminous element on the basis of an applied second voltage and the detection result of the optical sensor, in a light emission period of the luminous element, within a second period different from a first period of a predetermined length for always emitting light at brightness corresponding to a first voltage of controlling brightness of the luminous element.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
