Abstract:
To realize the motion of a pointer in a speed meter that displays the graphic image of a mechanical meter, which does not cause too much sense of discomfort to a driver.SOLUTION: A display unit 30 displays the image of a meter indicating a vehicle speed by a pointer. A processing unit 10 generates an image of the pointer from the inputted vehicle speed information. The processing unit 10 compares a difference 1 of angle data between the position of the currently displayed pointer and the position of the pointer displayed before the currently displayed pointer with a difference 2 of angle data between the position of the currently displayed pointer and the position of the pointer scheduled to be displayed after the currently displayed pointer, and displays an image scheduled to be displayed when the signs of the difference 1 of angle data and the difference 2 of angle data match, and displays an image, with a hysteresis corresponding to a change of the vehicle speed added, when the signs of the difference 1 of angle data and the difference 2 of angle data do not match.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
