To provide a display device for a vessel allowing the vessel to come alongside or leave a shore quickly and accurately.
A track processing section 36 produces a predicted track based on the velocities in the bow-stern line direction and in the beam direction at the present time of the vessel inputted from an input data storage section 34, and outputs it to an image forming section 42 via a coordinate data storage section 40. A velocity vector processing section 38 determines the acceleration at the present time based on the velocities inputted from the input data storage section 34, and produces a velocity vector of the vessel on the predicted track and outputs it to the image forming section 42 via the coordinate data storage section 40 based on the determined acceleration. The image forming section 42 forms image information where the velocity vector is overlaid on the predicted track and they are displayed, and the formed image information is outputted to a display section 44.
