Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a television receiver capable of allowing a narrowed frame to be installed.SOLUTION: A display device 11 is a display device 11 including: a light guide plate 23 having an end surface to which light emitted by a light source is incident and one surface from which the light incident on the end surface is discharged; a dish-shaped container 3 for storing the light guide plate 23 so that the one surface of the light guide plate 23 is directed toward an opening; and a display panel 21 irradiated with the light discharged from an opening of the container 3. The container 3 is provided with a recess part 306 in the end surface. The one surface includes: a bottom plate 30 directed to the other surface of the light guide plate 23; a side plate 31 arranged around the bottom plate 30; and a connection member 35 for connecting the bottom plate 30 and the side plate 31. One part (engagement part 371) is engaged with the recess part 306, and the other part (regulating part 372) has an elasticity and is arranged at a position facing the end surface of the light guide plate 23, and includes a regulating member 37 for regulating the position of the light guide plate 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
