Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for vehicles that looks nice to advantage.SOLUTION: A display device for vehicles includes a display unit for displaying the state of a vehicle. The display device for vehicles includes a plurality of light guide plates formed in shape of a plate having light transmissivity and arranged one on top of another at a position closer to a visible side than to the display unit, and a plurality of light source units constituting a pair one for one with each light guide plate, provided switchably between on and off, and causing light-source light to enter the inside via the outer edge of the corresponding light guide plate. Each light source unit emits light-source light mutually differing in color. Each light guide plate has reflection parts 36, 46 for reflecting the light-source light from the corresponding light source unit to the visual side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
