Abstract:
The visible-side end of a surrounding member (5) does not hang over the visible-side surface of a cover member (6), and the upper side of a display body (101) is disposed so as to extend toward the upper side of a dashboard (200) of a vehicle. The lower-side area of the display body is partially supported by an attachment (202) of the vehicle. The back-surface side of a frame (3) is provided with a reinforcement (33) that resists the impact of an occupant's head in the event of a vehicle collision. The visible-side end of an upper surrounding portion (120A), which is a section of the surrounding member positioned on the upper side of a display unit (1), has an upper visible-side end (53). The upper visible-side end projects from the surface of the cover member toward the visible side. The upper visible-side end is formed so as to be capable of deforming toward an edge (61) side of the cover member as a result of the impact of the occupant's head.
