PURPOSE: To clean the display surface of a display device without powering off the device by inhibiting selectively input operation from being performed by a touch sensor while the device is powered on.
CONSTITUTION: A CPU 7 judges whether or not there is an input from the touch sensor 15 and repeats this judging operation until there is the input. When it is decided that there is the input, it is judged successively whether or not a touch sensor input inhibition mode is specified. This touch sensor input inhibition mode is specified with the touch key input inhibition key of an input device 14. In the touch sensor inhibition mode, it is judged whether or not a main mode is reset and this judging operation is repeated until the input of the touch sensor 15 is released from being inhibited. In this period, the CPU 7 does not accept the input of information from the touch sensor 15 even if the display surface is touched with a finger, etc., so no unnecessary operation is performed even when the display surface is cleaned.
