This display device has a casing 12 having a display surface 11 on its front surface and rotatably supported against a rotating shaft 14 so that it can change direction between a tilted attitude and an upright attitude. The end face of the casing 12 in the upright attitude and the display face 11 are regulated to predetermined positions, and when the coordinates of a specific point serving as the lowest point of the casing 12 in the tilted attitude part P1 (0, 0) and the coordinates of the specific point of the casing 12 in the upright attitude are P2 (α, β), then the rotating shaft 14 is set at the coordinates P0 (α/2-β/2, α/2+β/2).
