Abstract:
To provide a display device which makes multicolor display with a simple structure and is ample in the power of expression.
A back part of the display device having a transmission type liquid crystal display 3, the back part 4 which is disposed behind the transmission type liquid crystal display 3 and emits exciting light by receiving UV rays and a light source 6 which emits the UV rays to cause the back part to emit the exciting light is composed of at least ≥2 regions 4a to 4c which reflect incoming light and make the display of the transmission type liquid crystal display visible during non-excitation and emit light at the colors different from the colors of the reflection during excitation and vary in the colors of the emitted light.
