The display device comprises; a first light emission display unit (a first light emitting display body) 1 forming an light emission display image (a first display image) 13; a second light emission display unit (a second light emitting display body) 2 forming a light emission display image (a second display image) 232 of the background of the light emission display image 13; a half-mirror 3 arranged between the light emitting display bodies 1, 2 synthesizing and displaying each light emission image 13, 232 by transmitting the light emission image 13 and the light emission image 232 to the observer; and a control means 4 switching and controlling the display state and the non-display state of the light emission image 232 in response to the detection signal (input signal) of a parking brake sensor.
