Abstract:
To provide a display device superior in reliability of sealing strength and characteristics of vacuum-tightness after bonding a front base board and a back base board, while surely bonding in a short time.
A vacuum envelope has the front base board and back base board 12 that are oppositely arranged, and the fringes of these boards are mutually bonded via a sealing layer 21. An electrode contains a contact end 36 which is contacted to a sealing layer 21. The end edge 37 of the contact end 36 of the electrode is formed to a concave polygon or a curved form with limited curvature to extend along the end edge of the sealing layer, at uniform intervals to the end edge.
