To provide a display device which makes even beginners sufficiently enjoy billiards without giving a feeling of incongruity to the player.
The display device has a camera 12 to image a board surface 103 of a billiard table 101, a projector 15 to display an image by projecting projection light L on the board surface 103 from above the billiard table 101 and a control section to control the camera 12 and the projector 15. The control section controls the camera 12 so as to make it image a cue ball on the board surface 103 and controls the projector 15 so as to make it display an image showing an example of a cue ball movement route where a cue ball is to be moved in a subsequent shot specified on the basis of the image of the cue ball on the board surface 103.
