The display device 1 comprises: a display means 2 that displays desired information as a display image 2A; a first light source 4; a transmission member 3 that transmits the light emitted by the first light source 4 as a transmission image 31A; and a half mirror 5 that reflects the light of the display image 2A to the visual observation side, and makes the display image 2A observed visually as a virtual image 2B, and that transmits the light of the transmission image 31A to the visual observation side, and makes the transmission image 31A observed visually as a real image. The position where the virtual image 2B of the display image 2A is observed visually is moved close to the transmission image 31A so that the virtual image 2B of the display image 2A and the transmission image 31A can be compared and visually observed simultaneously, and the transmission image 31A is observed visually in three dimensions by the light and dark of the transmission image 31A.
