Abstract:

To provide a display device capable of reducing occurence of speckle noise with simple constitution.

A portable projector 100 (display device) includes red LDs 12, blue LDs 13 and green LDs 14 for outputting laser beams, a scanner mirror 17 for projecting an image constituted of a plurality of pixels onto an arbitrary projection region by scanning the laser beams, and a laser control unit 15 for performing control of outputting laser beams including a relaxation oscillation region in which output of the laser beams becomes unstable in an oscillation early stage onto a part of the pixels among the plurality of pixels and outputting laser beams not including the relaxation oscillation region onto the pixels other than the part of the pixels among the plurality of pixels.
