In the display device including a first charge transport layer 2 and a second charge transport layer 4 common to respective organic EL elements, a red organic EL element has a film thickness adjusting layer 6 disposed between a light emission layer 3R and the first charge transport layer 2 so as to have a light emission position 7R at an interface between the light emission layer 3R and the film thickness adjusting layer 6, a green organic EL element has an assist dopant adjusted in concentration so as to have a light emission position 7G in a light emission layer 3G, and a blue organic EL element has a light emission position 7B at an interface between a light emission layer 3B and the first charge transport layer 2 or the second charge transport layer 4.
